# 7_A policy review of Germany’s International Hydrogen Economy

With an ambitious hydrogen strategy, Germany aims to become a leading technology provider and importer of green hydrogen. In this episode we discuss Germany's international hydrogen policy in this vein with Almudena and Rainer from the Research Institute for Sustainability at the Helmholtz Centre Potsdam. Several of its most prominent instruments and implications are addressed. Despite Germany's extensive hydrogen activities outside the EU, its activities with other EU members are lagging behind, so we examine this gap and its implications for Europe's competitive hydrogen economy.
